What Swiper is
Swiper is the ATM skill, not a fourth indoor job. You buy a hack tool, run a minigame on an ATM, and take the cash if the hack lands. Guides place the tool vendor in the alley behind The Butcher's Cut. A March 2025 item note also described a regular dealer by a basketball court on SW Nassau Street for small consumables. Read the vendor prompt you actually see.
After a successful hack, guides say the ATM goes quiet for a while. Failed attempts pay nothing and you are still standing still. Other players use that.
What not to copy from old payout posts
Published cash-per-hack figures do not match. One April 2025 guide said a basic hack was around $50 and that Swiper level 12 opened a Pro tool for a much larger take. Another 2025 arsenal page used different ranges and added higher tool names. Those dollars are not reprinted as today's rate. The calculator is there so you can type a hack you just finished.
What the guides do agree on is the order:
- Store the cash you cannot lose. The house safe is the official item store. Hack guides also say to deposit before you start.
- Buy one hack tool you can afford to waste.
- Use an ATM that is not already surrounded. Map notes mention machines near the police station and the Butcher alley. The live street matters more than the note.
- Finish or cancel, then leave. Do not count the money in the alley.
- Repeat to raise Swiper if this is the path you want. Better tools are tied to that skill, not to Janitor.
Who should wait
If your only cash is the $500 referral, it belongs in the safe, not in a first hack. Get a job payout loop running first. Come back to Swiper when a lost tool is annoying rather than a reset.
