The three regular jobs
BlockSpin sends you to work with a briefcase marker. Walk into the building and use the blue-circle job board. Reaching the door does not clock you in.
| Job | Workplace on 2026 job pages | What you repeat | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Janitor | Burger Place | Clean puddles | Usual first quest from the gas-station spawn. The block can be crowded. |
| Cook | The Butcher's Cut | Prepare food. Some players call this the steak house. | Indoor loop. Often named with Janitor as a preferred grind. |
| Shelf Stocker | Quick-11 | Fill shelves | Quieter in several guides. 2025 guides instead sent stockers to the gas station. |
Pay per task is not printed here. 2025 writeups gave different cash ranges for the same puddle, and those ranges were not rechecked against the Fishing Update.
Why one job matters
Janitor, Cook, and Shelf Stocker each build a separate skill path. Guides tell you to pick one and keep repeating it so the task gets faster and pays better. Splitting the first session across all three slows every path.
Open the skills list from the menu on the right when you want to see the bonuses for the job you chose. Jack's Hardware Store, at the crossroads in map guides, is where those guides send you for a better mop or skillet after the skill has climbed. Buy the tool for the job you are actually playing.
Other skills are not these jobs
Swiper, Fishing, Farming, and Stamina show up as their own paths. They are in the skill list. Swiper is the ATM route and it is a fight magnet. Fishing is a long level track, with level 75 deep-sea fishing called out in the October 2026 update. Do not abandon a fresh Janitor path on hour one because a video showed a huge fish sale.
A practical pick
Start Janitor if Burger Place is calm, Cook if you want to stay indoors, Shelf Stocker if the center is camped. After the first payouts are in the house safe, decide whether the next hour is still that job, a hack tool, or a cheap rod.
